Secession 1.5
1999 Glenn Matthews

Secession is a plug-in for Escape Velocity Override 1.0.1.

Secession includes:
- 1 new major government
- 6 new ships
- 6 new weapons
- 11 new outfits
- 32 new missions
- A new EV Override splash screen

Compatibility
- Secession is compatible with all plugs that only change EV Override's graphics or sounds (A-Radar, EVSO Override, EVTG Override, EVOBoom!, etc.) but is probably incompatible with any plug-ins that contain new missions, ships, or outfits.
- Playing EV Override with Secession requires more RAM than playing EV Override alone. If any odd graphical glitches occur while playing (e.g., lots of different ships all looking like the same ship type), you should increase EV Override's RAM allocation.
- Note: If you use EVO Tech Update, its splash screen will load preferentially over Secession's. If you would like to see Secession's splash screen instead, rename "EVO Tech Update" to "EVO Tech Update", removing the "" from the file's name. This will change the loading order, giving Secession precedence.

Requirements
To begin Secession's mission string, you must have:
- Needle Jammer string completed
- Free Huron string completed
- Human Renegade string neither begun nor completed

To obtain later missions and complete Secession's mission string, you must eventually have:
- UE Cruiser string completed
- NPD string completed

Getting Started
1. Remove any incompatible plug-ins from the EV Plug-ins folder.
2. Put the file Secession 1.5 in the EV Plug-ins folder.
3. If you use A-Radar 1.0.5 or later, put the file ҥSecession A-Radar Graphics in the EV Plug-ins folder.
4. If you use EVTG Override or EV Target Graphics Pro, put the file ҥSecession EVTG Graphics in the EV Plug-ins folder.
5. If you use EVO Tech Update, put the file ҥSecession Tech Update Graphics in the EV Plug-ins folder.
6. Launch EV Override.
7. I recommend that you begin a new pilot in order to truly experience Secession as a part of EVO. However, you may play Secession with an existing pilot. If you are using an existing pilot, go immediately to the nearest mission computer and accept any available Secession Setup missions (at the bottom of the mission list).
8. Once you have completed the prerequisites for Secession's mission string, head for the bar on Huron.
